When Christ sent the 72, he sent them to preach the gospel and heal the sick.

They were required to bring back a report. But interestingly, they brought back a report of the power they saw manifest, not the souls they saw convert.

Often, we are carried away by the power, the signs, and the wonders that we even forget the main reason why God sent us, to bring him, souls.

Yes, we need power, we need signs, wonders, etc. But these are just a means to an end. Not the actual end.
