1Co 1:30-31 ISV
30 It is because of God that you are in union with the Messiah Jesus, who for us has become wisdom from God, as well as our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
31 Therefore, as it is written, “The person who boasts must boast in the Lord.”
Righteousness = Right standing with God.
Sanctification = The washing and the cleansing by the blood of the lamb.
Redemption = Is the buying back or taking the place of.
Grace had to come in to do this.
In the ability of man, no one was able to accomplish this.
Christ did it for us, This is why Paul says “that no man should boast” because on your own you were dead.
Therefore It is foolish to boast.
