The righteous man holds on to His way of cleanliness in order for Him to get stronger and stronger.

Strength only comes with exposure to the challenge, trial, and temptation and coming out of the process of all this, victorious.

The ways of deception and flattery to gain something are considered weaknesses.

This is why Psalm 73 talks to us about a man who envied a wicked man only to find out what their end is.
