Acts 10 and 11 tell us that there is the possibility of giving, praying, and offering to God, while you still haven’t made Him Lord over your life.
This can be dangerous because it is not out of religious acts that we will inherit heaven but out of salvation and accepting Christ.
Do not have the zeal to act when your heart is far from the Lord. Zeal without knowledge (Romans 10:2)
